Very exciting news for Niagara Falls Canada!  Nik Wallenda is going to be performing his death defying feat- tight rope walking across the Falls!  The Niagara parks commission gave approval for this event taking place on June 15th, and it won’t be able to happen again for 20 years!  I was asked to do a photo session with Nik for the cover of the May issue of Niagara magazine, and when I showed up, I asked him how long he was able to give us.  20 minutes was the answer!! Yikes!…on your mark, get set, GO…..Tanya, from the magazine was with us and she provided him with an amazing blue t-shirt which completely complimented Nik’s hair and skin color.  To add to the crunch was the fact that it started raining and we had planned on doing the shoot outside!  YIKES again!…  I remembered this perfect area near the hotel , that was inside, with beautiful soft available light, and a grey stone background. PERFECT! ….getting Nik to relax, and not look at his blackberry….and find a comfortable pose, and look at the camera…….but not with a big smile, just a hint of a smile…….love the smile in his eyes….  Got the shot!  and then after a brief handshake, and a nice to meet you  – he was off – with a twinkle in his eye and touch of his nose…..( no stop, that’s the December daredevil….)    Nik was off and running…….busy, busy, busy……meetings,  the press….interviews………So much to do…..!   It was nice to meet him and he is a really great guy. I can’t wait to see the walk on June 15th!
